SKILL 003
Making a poster! (part2)
dig deep into TEXT & CHARACTER of a poster

TEXT
"Text is probably the most important part to fanfic poster since it's where people first glance at. Try to make it visible and dominant."

Don't put your text on one boring line, especially if it's long.
Try breaking it (and don't break it in exact half all the time) and use different font for each, or size.

1. Use the charater option in photoshop to get different style and spacing (go to window -> character if you can't find it)
2. Use blending option (f in a black circle in you layer box) to help you get interesting effects.
3. Use brushes to help you fill in empty spaces between text and add details to your text (like wavy lines coming out from tip of l)
4. Use one color but different shade. (ex. White, Grey, Pink, Crimson, Brown, Black)

CHARACTERS
"When taking request, I often need to blend many characters together. I suggest you don't blend more than three characters together unless you are very capable."

There are many ways you can blend characters together.
The examples above are all belnded together except for the second one at the top.
Here are some ways you can blend it.

1. One character: blend many poses of one character together. Try to make the close up one dominant, the don't look good at the back.
2. Couple pictures: if the pictures are already the two character together, play around with it. Don't put it in the middle and just blend other pictures at the back. ALWAYS remember to make one more dominant than the other.
3. Many main characters: If they are all main characters, try to put bigger one on the side and smaller one in the middle and center the text, this way, they all look like one piece.
4. Main & sub characters: group the main together and spread out the sub evenly. Make sure the main take up most of the space.
5. Two characters, equally dominant: Put them side by side, and use decorations to cover up parts you can't blend.
6. Two characters, one dominant: Make sure the less dominant one smaller than the other but try to keep their color similar.
